We believe that the typical business software application takes too long to build, costs too much, and too frequently fails to deliver the promise with which it started. The reasons for this are probably numerous, but one main reason is that business needs often change faster than software to meet those needs can be developed. Our goal is to resolve that issue, at least for certain types of enterprise applications.

Through our experiences on a large number of software projects, we have come to believe in an approach based on "configuration" as opposed to coding to construct business applications. By "configuration", we mean that the behavior of the application is specified in a very high-level (often graphical) way, and then this definition, or "configuration" is published into a run-time environment that knows how to execute it. There is a smooth transition between defining the solution and executing it, with no delay during which programming takes place.

This philosophy has driven the development of each of the products you will find here, even though they address significantly different needs and produce different types of applications.
